Original or compatible?

The washable mesh filters behind a split system's front panel are part of the unit; the replaceable parts are the purifying and deodorising filters that clip into them, made for each maker's indoor units. Genuine filters carry the maker's part code; compatible ones name that code or the models they fit.

Where the model number is

The indoor unit's model is on the label on its side or under the front panel (Daikin FTXM25W, Mitsubishi Electric MSZ-AP25VGD). The outdoor unit has a different model number.

Why change it on time

Wash the mesh filters as the manual says, usually every few weeks in use. A purifying or deodorising filter stops working as it saturates; makers give a replacement interval for each, and a dirty one cuts airflow and efficiency.

How this list is built

Every fit comes from the manufacturer's own compatibility list or parts page, with the source recorded on each row. Where only a seller lists a fit, the page says so. Prices are re-read from each seller's page daily where they publish one, and dated. How FitMatch checks fitment.
