About Dyson filters

Dyson purifier filters are identified by six-digit part numbers with a -01 suffix, for example 965432-01 (360 Combi Glass HEPA and carbon) and 974527-01 (HEPA and K-Carbon), and some machines take separate HEPA and carbon filters. Dyson says to change the filter every 12 months for typical home use, sooner in polluted homes or with pets, and the machine or the MyDyson app tells you when it is due. Dyson filters are warranted for 12 months from purchase.

Look at the rating label on the base of the purifier, under the filter shroud: the type code is two letters and two digits (TP04, HP07, BP03). The old filter's part number (965432-01…) is printed on its inner frame.

1Switch the machine off and unplug it. Press the two buttons on either side of the base and lift the outer shroud away.
2Release the tabs on each filter half and lift the old halves off the base.
3Take the new halves out of their bags, clip each around the base until the tabs click, and refit the shroud.
4Plug in and hold the standby button for about 6 seconds until the screen resets the filter life, or reset it in the MyDyson app.
