How long it lasts
Replace it when it clogs, breaks down or no longer holds its shape, Aqua One says; until then rinse it in a bucket of aquarium water each time you clean the filter.
How to change the 25059S aquarium filter media
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
No clear video for this part yet. The steps cover it.
- 1Unplug the filter, or the tank's filter pump and any other equipment in the tank, as Aqua One advises.
- 2Open the filter and take out the sponge.
- 3Rinse sponges gently in a bucket of water taken from the aquarium, never under the tap: Aqua One says tap water kills the filter's beneficial bacteria.
- 4Put the sponge back, or fit a new one once the old one blocks up or breaks down.
- 5Put the media back as it was. Plug the filter back in and check that water flows.
