How to change the 2616155 aquarium filter media

- 1Pull out the mains plug and close the hose taps before you take the filter away from the aquarium.
- 2Open the clips, lift off the pump head and take out the pads.
- 3Fit the new white fine pad in place of the old one. EHEIM says its fine and coarse pads are reusable many times over: to clean them, rinse and squeeze them out.
- 4Put the pads back in EHEIM's order: blue coarse pads first, then the white fine pad, with the black carbon pad as the top layer. In a newly set-up filter, EHEIM says to remove the carbon pad after about two weeks.
- 5Refit the pump head (check the sealing ring) and close the clips. Make sure the filter is empty of water when you reconnect it, open the suction-side tap and let it prime before you plug it back in.
