How long it lasts

How to change the 1140 007 4102 service kit

- 1Stop the engine, engage the chain brake and let the saw cool down.
- 2Turn the shroud locks a quarter turn with the combination tool and lift off the shroud.
- 3Clean loose dirt from around the filter, take out the HD2 air filter and push the new one onto the filter housing until it engages (on the MS 362 C-M the STIHL name must sit level).
- 4Pull off the spark plug boot, clean any dirt from around the plug, unscrew it and screw in the new plug from the kit; STIHL gives an electrode gap of 0.5 mm. Press the boot firmly back on.
- 5Use the hook in the kit box to pull the fuel pickup out through the tank filler, swap in the new fuel filter and refit the shroud or cover.
