How to descale with the TCZ8002A

- 1Empty the drip tray, take out the water filter if one is fitted, and choose Descale in the service or Care menu. VeroCup and Series 2 VeroCafe have no separate descale: hold the calc'nClean button for about 5 seconds, and drop a cleaning tablet into the brewing unit when asked.
- 2Pour lukewarm water into the empty tank up to the 0.5 l mark and dissolve one descaling tablet in it. Never put a descaling tablet in the ground coffee drawer or the brewing unit.
- 3On the built-ins, put the end of the milk pipe where the display shows. Put a container under the outlet (0.5 l, or about 1 l for calc'nClean) and start. The descaling stage takes about 20 minutes.
- 4Rinse the tank, fill it with fresh water to the max mark, refit the filter and let the machine rinse itself for about 2 minutes.
- 5Empty the drip tray and wipe the machine with a soft, damp cloth so no descaler is left on it.
