  1. 1Milk-carafe machines: pour 90 ml of water and 10 ml of MultiClean into the milk carafe.
  2. 2Fit the carafe, turn the froth knob or lid to a cappuccino setting and put a container under the milk spout.
  3. 3Run it through: choose the Milk drink (or press Cappuccino twice quickly on models without one) and let the carafe empty.
  4. 4Rinse the carafe, fill it with clean water and run it through 3 or 4 more times.
  5. 5Steam wands and removable parts: soak them for 5 to 10 minutes in 50 ml of MultiClean and 500 ml of hot water (50–60 °C), brush, rinse well, then release steam for a few seconds.
