How to change your Whirlpool fridge filter

  1. 1Open the fridge doors and find the filter door low on the left-hand side of the fridge compartment. Push on its right side to open it.
  2. 2Turn the old filter a quarter turn anti-clockwise and pull it straight out. A little water may drip; have a cloth ready.
  3. 3Line up the arrow on the new filter's cap with the notch in the housing and push it in.
  4. 4Turn the filter a quarter turn (90 degrees) clockwise until it locks, then push the filter door closed until it latches.
  5. 5Press Water Filter Reset on the door panel so the Replace Water Filter light goes out.
  6. 6Run about 11 litres of water through the dispenser to clear air from the line; it may sputter at first.
