EU3000iS Generator Maintenance · Honda (official)

1Let the engine cool. EU30is: open the left side maintenance cover, loosen the cover screw and remove the spark plug inspection cover. EU30i: loosen the cover screw and remove the spark plug maintenance cover.
2Pull off the spark plug cap, clean dirt from around the plug base and remove the plug with the plug wrench.
3Check the gap on the new plug: Honda gives 0.7-0.8 mm. Correct it by carefully bending the side electrode.
4Screw the plug in by hand, then tighten a new plug a further 1/2 turn (a used plug 1/8-1/4 turn).
5Refit the spark plug cap and the covers.
