How to change the 17218-Z07-000 pre-filter

- 1Stop the engine and let it cool, with the generator on a flat, level surface.
- 2Loosen the maintenance cover screw and remove the maintenance cover, then loosen the air cleaner cover screw and remove the air cleaner cover.
- 3Take out the main and outer foam elements.
- 4Wash both in warm soapy water (or a high flash point solvent), rinse and let them dry. Dip them in clean engine oil and squeeze out the excess without twisting; fit new elements if they are torn.
- 5Refit the main and outer elements and the air cleaner cover, tighten the cover screw, then refit the maintenance cover and tighten its screw.
