How to change the 17218-Z0A-810 pre-filter

- 1Stop the engine and let it cool, with the generator on a flat, level surface.
- 2Open the left maintenance cover by turning its latch anticlockwise, then unsnap the air cleaner cover clips and remove the cover.
- 3Foam filter: take it out of the cover, wash it in warm soapy water (or a non-flammable solvent), dry it, dip it in clean engine oil and squeeze it out. Replace it if damaged.
- 4Paper filter: remove the guide and take out the paper filter. Do not clean it; fit a new one if it is dirty.
- 5Refit the guide, the foam filter in the cover and the air cleaner cover, then close the left maintenance cover.
