How to change the filter in your Philips humidifier
Steps for the FY2401/30 Humidification Filter (2000 Series HU4801–HU4814) (FY2401/30), the wick filter 7 Philips models take. Change it every 6 months.
- 1Switch the humidifier off and unplug it.
- 2Hold the upper unit by both sides and lift it off the water tank.
- 3Lift out the filter on its support, pull the old filter off the support and throw it away.
- 4Unwrap the new filter and wrap it around the support. Philips suggests soaking a new filter in water for 30 minutes first so it humidifies well from the start.
- 5Put the filter and support back in the tank and refit the upper unit.

Common questions
- How often should I change a Philips filter?

- What happens if I don't change the wick filter?
- A scaled-up wick soaks up less water, so the room gets less moisture for the same running time.

- No reset needed: the HU4801, HU4802, HU4803, HU4810, HU4811, HU4813 and HU4814 have no filter counter, so change the filter by the calendar.
