How to change the anti-scale cartridge in your Philips steam iron

  1. 1Switch off the steam generator, unplug it and let it cool.
  2. 2Release the carry lock if your model has one, then lift the iron platform on the base to reach the ANTI-CALC compartment.
  3. 3Open the compartment and pull out the used cartridge.
  4. 4Take the cap off the new cartridge, put it in the compartment and press it down until it locks into position. Close the compartment and lower the platform. A few drops of water are normal.
  5. 5Switch on and press and hold the steam trigger for about 10 seconds until steam comes out.
