  3. 3Take out the foam element. To reuse it, wash it in liquid detergent and water and squeeze it dry in a clean cloth; fit a new one if it is torn or will not come clean.
  4. 4Soak the foam with clean engine oil, then squeeze out the excess in a clean cloth.
  5. 5Fit the foam onto the air filter base, close the cover and tighten the fastener(s).
