1Switch off and unplug the mower from the power point, wait for the blade to stop and remove the grass catcher. Wear gloves: the edges are sharp.
2Turn the mower over. Hold the blade firmly (a piece of timber helps) and loosen the blade bolt anticlockwise with a 13 mm socket.
3Remove the blade bolt, washer and blade.
4Place the new blade over the centre hole, lining up the lugs (on some models the lugs are shaped so the blade only fits one way).
5Refit the washer and bolt and tighten to about 25 Nm.
