How to change the CA09470B blade
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
- 1Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug lead, wedging it well away from the plug. On the Corvette 18V ES, also remove the starter battery and key. Put on heavy gloves.
- 2Work from the grass catcher flap with the rear flap secured. If you need to tip the mower, tilt the handle back so the front wheels lift and the spark plug points to the sky; tilting the other way can let oil into the air filter.
- 3Undo each blade nut while pressing the bolt head up into the blade disc: the diamond shape under the head stops the bolt turning. Remove the old blades, bolts and washers.
- 4Fit the new blades with the new bolts, washers and nuts in the order shown on the pack, pushing each bolt head into the disc. Replace all four blades together: 2 packs.
- 5Tighten the nuts to 14-19 Nm, checking by turning the nut, not the bolt.
