- 1Remove the battery, press both latches of the spool cover together, take the cover off and remove the empty spool.
- 2Cut about 4 m of line (EasyGrassCut) or 6 m (UniversalGrassCut) from the roll.
- 3Push one end into the wind-up hole in the spool (on UniversalGrassCut, work it under the hook and up through the slot) and wind the line on evenly and tightly.
- 4Slide the free end through the line-guide hole in the trimmer head and put the spool back.
- 5Refit the spool cover.
