RYOBI: How to Reload a Line Trimmer with Reel-Easy Spool · RYOBI Australia (official)
  1. 1Remove the battery pack. Lay the trimmer on a level surface, motor side down and guard side up.
  2. 2Turn the bump knob until the line on its centre lines up with the arrows on the outer spool.
  3. 3Push one pre-cut 2.4 mm line (about 3 m) through the eyelet on one side of the head until it comes out of the other side, with equal lengths each side.
  4. 4Turn the bump knob with the Speedwinder (or by hand) to wind the line in, until about 12 cm sticks out each side.
  5. 5Refit the battery, start the trimmer and tap the bump knob on the ground to feed more line as you work.
