- 3Soak the cartridge in cartridge cleaner and hose it off, or fit a new one.
- 4Refit the cartridge and lid and restart the pump.
After fitting the new cartridge

Common questions
- What happens if I don't change the filter?
- A clogged cartridge slows the flow and the pump works harder, and a torn one lets dirt back into the water, so the pool or spa clouds.
- Does Davey make a compatible cartridge?
- Davey makes the genuine cartridge. Compatible cartridges for Davey models are made by other companies to fit the same models, and Australian sellers we track list both; each part page shows the genuine and compatible prices side by side.
- What do I do after changing the cartridge in a Davey pool filter or spa?
- No reset light. Davey says to soak and hose off the cartridge to clean it.
