How to change your Fisher Spas filter cartridge
Steps for the 205 x 145 mm pleated filter (125488) (125488), the filter 16 Fisher Spas models take.
- 1Switch the spa off at the isolating switch before you open the filter.
- 2Remove the filter face: undo the fitting (some models have a screw, which turns anticlockwise) and lift the face off. Take out the leaf catcher.
- 3Unscrew the cartridge anticlockwise and lift it out.
- 4Rinse the cartridge with a hose, or fit a new one. Hold the clean or new cartridge under the water until the air stops bubbling out.
- 5Screw it in clockwise only until it no longer spins freely; the pump draws it in further. Refit the leaf catcher and filter face and switch the spa back on.
After fitting the new cartridge
The Fisher manual describes no filter reminder; follow its cleaning schedule.
Common questions
- What happens if I don't change the filter?
- A clogged cartridge slows the flow and the pump works harder, and a torn one lets dirt back into the water, so the pool or spa clouds.
- Does Fisher Spas make a compatible cartridge?
- Fisher Spas makes the genuine cartridge. Compatible cartridges for Fisher Spas models are made by other companies to fit the same models, and Australian sellers we track list both; each part page shows the genuine and compatible prices side by side.
- What do I do after changing the cartridge in a Fisher spa?
- The Fisher manual describes no filter reminder; follow its cleaning schedule.
Brand names describe compatibility only; FitMatch is independent of Fisher Spas. Fitment sources are recorded on every model page.
