  3. 3Make sure the edge of the lid is clean and the safety nubs move freely.
  4. 4Insert the new gasket so it lies completely flat on the inside of the lid, under the inward-curving edge.
  5. 5Press it in front of the safety nubs, away from the lid edge, then close the lid.
