- 1Unplug the unit and let the pressure lid cool, then turn the lid over.
- 2Pull the old silicone ring outward, section by section, from the ring rack under the lid. Don't use force: it can bend the rack.
- 3Fit the new ring either side up, pressing it down into the rack section by section.
- 4Check it lies flat and is well seated all the way round before you pressure cook. Never use a torn or damaged ring.
After fitting the ring
No reset: the maker's manual describes no ring reminder.
Common questions
- What happens if I don't change the sealing ring?
- A worn ring lets steam leak around the lid, so the cooker is slow to reach pressure or will not seal at all.
- Is there anything to check after changing the sealing ring on a Ninja pressure cooker?
- No reset: the maker's manual describes no ring reminder.
