How long it lasts
Replace it when it is damaged, Kärcher says; until then Kärcher recommends emptying the filter box and cleaning the filter after each use (rinse under running water, no rubbing, dry fully before reuse).
After replacing: No reset. The WD 7 Control's filter LED shows when the filter needs cleaning or replacing; the other models have no indicator.
How to change the 2.863-005.0 filter

- 1Switch the vacuum off and pull out the mains plug.
- 2Press the unlocking button on the filter box on the device head and fold the filter box out.
- 3Take the filter box off and empty it into a bin, tapping it on the edge if it is very dirty.
- 4Take the old flat pleated filter out of the filter box and put the new one in its place.
- 5Refit the filter box and fold it back until it locks. Kärcher says always to work with the flat pleated filter in place.
