How to change the carbon filter in your Aqua One Lifestyle 190
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
- 1Turn the power head off and unplug the aquarium's equipment.
- 2Remove the lid from the filter unit and lift the elbow and spray bar off the top of the power head.
- 3Take out the carbon cartridge and the black filter sponge. Rinse the sponge in a little aquarium water in a bucket, then throw that water away rather than adding it back to the tank.
- 4Fit a new carbon cartridge every 6–8 weeks, rinsed thoroughly under the tap first, then put the sponge back. On Lifestyle tanks the cartridge sits on top of the black sponge, wool facing up.
- 5Refit the spray bar with its holes pointing down onto the carbon cartridge, make sure the tank is full, turn the power head on and check that water flows from the spray bar. Close the lid.
