How to change the filter media in your Fluval 107
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
- 1Unplug the filter and close the hose valves (the AquaStop valve on 06 and 07 series filters) before you disconnect it.
- 2Open the filter and lift the media baskets out of the canister.
- 3Rinse foam in water from the aquarium; rinse BIOMAX in aquarium water only: Fluval says never to rinse it with tap water.
- 4Fit new foam in the same place every 6 months. Fluval says not to replace all filter media at the same time: change the foam and the BIOMAX at different services.
- 5Put the baskets back in the same order, close the filter, then prime and restart it as its manual describes.
