How To: Clean Your STIHL HD2 Air Filter · STIHL Australia (official)

1Stop the engine, engage the chain brake and let the saw cool down.
2Turn the shroud locks a quarter turn with the combination tool and lift off the shroud.
3Clean loose dirt from around the filter, take out the HD2 air filter and push the new one onto the filter housing until it engages.
4Pull off the spark plug boot, clean any dirt from around the plug, unscrew it and screw in the new plug from the kit; STIHL gives an electrode gap of 0.5 mm. Press the boot firmly back on.
5Use the hook in the kit box to pull the fuel pickup out through the tank filler, swap in the new fuel filter and refit the shroud or cover.
