Common questions
What does the X7-R fit?
The Puretec X7-R PureMix X7 replacement cartridge (1 micron) fits the Puretec PureMix X7. Compatible filters made to the same specification also fit.
How often should I replace the X7-R?
Every 6 months. Flow slows and performance drops off as the filter fills up, so it's worth doing on time.
Where can I buy the X7-R in Australia?
We track 5 Australian sellers for the X7-R; the lowest listed price when we last checked was A$79.00 at Amazon AU. Prices are re-checked daily and dated on this page.
How do I fit the X7-R?
No tools, a few minutes: 5 steps, listed on this page with the replacement video where the maker has one.
What happens if I don't change it?
The carbon stops reducing chlorine taste and odour and the flow from the tap slows as the cartridge clogs; a boiling-water tap with a scale-reducing filter builds scale in its tank faster.
Is there anything to reset afterwards?
No reset light. Write the date on the cartridge.
