No clear video for this water filter yet. The steps cover it.
- 1Switch off the boiler (and the chiller if you have one), then turn off the cold mains stopcock under the sink. Put a towel under the filter.
- 2Twist off the old cartridge; a little water may come out. If yours is Peppy's old white filter, the new silver and black bracket must be fitted first.
- 3Push the new 2CB5-S up into the mounting bracket slightly and twist it on securely.
- 4Turn the water back on and run filtered chilled or ambient water for 5 minutes. On a Signature (electronic) tap, run two cycles of the blue sensor.
- 5Hold the bottom temperature sensor on the boiler until it beeps (about 5 seconds) to clear the filter symbol, then switch the boiler and chiller back on.
Reset the filter light
Hold the bottom temperature sensor on the boiler until it beeps (about 5 seconds) to stop the filter symbol flashing. To restart the boiler's filter timer, switch the boiler off with the top sensor, hold the bottom sensor 4–5 seconds, then switch it back on.

Common questions
- How often should I change a Peppy Taps filter?
- Every 12 months for the 2CB5-S filter cartridge (Everpure EV9617-22), the most common Peppy Taps water filter here. Each model page shows the interval for its own water filter.
- What happens if I don't change the water filter?
- The carbon stops reducing chlorine taste and odour and the flow from the tap slows as the cartridge clogs; a boiling-water tap with a scale-reducing filter builds scale in its tank faster.
- Does Peppy Taps make a compatible filter?
- Everpure makes the genuine filter for Peppy Taps models. Compatible filters for Peppy Taps models are made by other companies to the same shape and flow rate, and Australian sellers we track list both; each part page shows the genuine and compatible prices side by side and the certifications we could confirm.
- How do I reset the filter light on a Peppy Taps tap or under-sink system?
- Hold the bottom temperature sensor on the boiler until it beeps (about 5 seconds) to stop the filter symbol flashing. To restart the boiler's filter timer, switch the boiler off with the top sensor, hold the bottom sensor 4–5 seconds, then switch it back on.
