How to change the 12022801 dryer foam filter

- 1Let the dryer cool for about 30 minutes, then clean the fluff filter in the door first.
- 2Open the base unit: open the maintenance flap at the bottom front, open the lever for the heat exchanger cover and pull the cover out by its handle.
- 3Carefully take the filter mat off the retainers on the cover without bending it. Brush the heat exchanger cover with a soft brush and leave no dirt on the seal.
- 4Rinse the filter mat under warm running water and squeeze it out by hand. Use clear water only, no cleaning agents; a vacuum cleaner can lift heavy soiling.
- 5Push the mat fully onto the retainers (not misshapen or inside out; fit a new mat if it is), refit the cover, close the lever and close the maintenance flap.
