  2. 2Turn the old filter a quarter turn anti-clockwise and pull it straight out. A little water may drip; keep a cloth handy.
  3. 3Take the caps off the new filter, push it into the housing and turn it clockwise until it stops.
  4. 4Run 4 litres of water through the dispenser to flush the carbon, then reset the filter light (hold the filter or reset button for 3 seconds).

Common questions

How often should I change a Hisense fridge filter?
Every 6 months for the Replacement Water Filter (K2100988) (K2100988), the filter most Hisense models here take. Each model page shows the interval for its own filter.
What happens if I don't change the filter?
Flow from the dispenser slows and chlorine taste and odour come back as the carbon saturates; the fridge itself keeps working.
Does Hisense make a compatible filter?
Hisense makes the genuine filter. Compatible filters for Hisense models are made by other companies to the same shape and flow rate, and Australian sellers we track list both; each part page shows the genuine and compatible prices side by side and the certifications we could confirm.
