How to change the 595853 air filter
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
- 1Stop the engine and let it cool, then disconnect the spark plug wire and keep it away from the plug.
- 2Loosen the fastener(s) or unclip the cover and open or remove the air filter cover.
- 3Take out the filter cartridge (and the pre-cleaner, if your engine has one).
- 4If there is a pre-cleaner, wash it in liquid detergent and water and let it air-dry fully; do not oil it.
- 5Fit the dry pre-cleaner to the new cartridge, install it and refit the cover, tightening the fasteners. Briggs & Stratton says not to use compressed air or solvents on the filter.
