  1. 1Let the engine cool, pull the cap off the spark plug and clean the dirt from around it so nothing falls into the engine.
  2. 2Remove the plug with a spark plug wrench.
  3. 3Check the gap on the new plug: Honda gives 0.7-0.8 mm, Sanli about 0.7 mm. Correct it if needed by carefully bending the side electrode.
  4. 4Screw the plug in by hand until it seats, so it does not cross-thread.
  5. 5Honda: tighten a new plug a further 1/2 turn with the wrench (a used one 1/8-1/4 turn). Sanli: tighten it with the plug wrench supplied. Refit the cap.
