  1. 1Shut off the engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and disconnect the spark-plug wire. Wear gloves: the blade is sharp.
  2. 2Let the fuel tank run dry first (or remove the fuel with a hand pump), then tip the mower onto its side with the air filter up and the dipstick down.
  3. 3Hold the blade steady with a block of wood and remove the blade, keeping all the mounting hardware.
  4. 4Fit the new blade and all the hardware, with the curved ends of the blade pointing toward the mower housing.
  5. 5Tighten the blade bolt to 82 N·m (60 ft-lb) with a torque wrench, then reconnect the spark-plug wire. Toro says to see a service dealer if you don't have a torque wrench.
