How to change the spool in your Ryobi RLT1832X5

- 1Remove the battery pack and keep your hands away from the triggers.
- 2Lay the trimmer on a level surface, motor side down and guard side up.
- 3Push the slider (OLT1832, R18LTR10) or press the tabs (R18LTR70) on the spool retainer and lift off the spool cover, then take out the old spool.
- 4Thread the line of the new spool through the eyelet and fit the spool with the line and slot lined up with the eyelet.
- 5Refit the spool cover and press it down until it clicks into place.
