How long it lasts

Replace it at least every two weeks, Intex says; take it out and check it every week and hose it clean in between.

After replacing: No reset. The 634T pump's filter gauge shows green (clean), yellow (clean the cartridge) or red (clean or replace it); turn the pump on to read it.

  1. 1Turn the pump off and unplug the power cord.
  2. 2Turn both plunger valve handles fully clockwise to close them, then open the top air release valve a turn or two.
  3. 3Turn the housing collar anticlockwise and lift off the housing cover.
  4. 4Lift out the cartridge and hose it clean with a strong spray, or fit a new one if it is discoloured, misshapen or torn. Flush any sediment out through the sediment valve at the base.
  5. 5Refit the cartridge and cover and screw the collar back on clockwise.
  6. 6Open both plunger valves fully, close the air release valve once the air is out, plug in and turn the pump on.
