How long it lasts
Replace it when a cleaned element still reads 30–40 kPa above the new-filter pressure, or is damaged; AstralPool says to check once a year.
After replacing: No reset light. Note the gauge reading with clean elements; AstralPool says to clean them when the gauge rises 20 kPa.
How to change the cartridge in your AstralPool CL600
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
- 1Stop the pump, close the suction and return valves and open the air bleed valve on the lid.
- 2Unscrew the lock ring and lift off the lid. Never loosen the ring while the pump runs.
- 3Lift out the four cartridges. Soak each one in a mild solution of chlorine and warm water for 15 minutes, then hose it off, or fit new ones.
- 4Sit each cartridge on its spigot in the base. Clean the lid O-ring and give it a little water-based lubricant.
- 5Centre the lid, fit the lock ring and tighten it (about 3½ turns) until the safety catch engages. Open the valves and start the pump.
