How to change the SP0101074 grinder burr

- 1Unplug the grinder and take off the case as Baratza's case removal guide shows.
- 2Lift the safety switch off its posts, undo the three screws holding the gearbox and motor, lift them out and unplug the motor cable.
- 3Undo the four motor plate screws and the gear nut (a 10 mm nut is reverse-threaded: turn it clockwise), then push the drive shaft out, catching the cone burr. Keep the washers in order.
- 4Hold the old burr in pliers or a vice and undo the reverse-threaded drive shaft with a 9 mm or 11/32 in box wrench.
- 5Screw the new burr on by hand (reverse thread, no tools), refit the paddle wheel with its pegs in the burr, and put everything back in reverse order.
