How to change the water filter in your BRITA mypure A1c

Watch the guide or follow the steps.

No clear video for this part yet. The steps cover it.

  1. 1Put a container under the flush hose and open the locking handle on the filter head; this shuts off the water to the cartridge.
  2. 2Press the flush valve to let the pressure out of the system.
  3. 3Take the old cartridge out of the filter head. The cartridge pivots 90 degrees in the wall bracket to make this easier.
  4. 4Fit the new A 1000 into the head and close the locking handle.
  5. 5Run the filtered tap until the water is clear and free of bubbles (at least 1 litre), then reset the timer: press DISPLAY, then hold START/RESET for 5 seconds.

About your mypure A1c

BRITA filtered water tap, tap or under-sink system — BRITA under-sink filter. Its water filter is the A 1000 under-sink filter cartridge, part A1000, changed every 6 months.

Where the model number is: On a boiling or chilled water tap the model is on the label on the unit under the bench, not on the tap itself. On an under-sink system it is on the filter head or housing; the cartridge code is printed on the old cartridge.

Common questions
Which water filter fits the BRITA mypure A1c?
The BRITA mypure A1c takes the BRITA A 1000 under-sink filter cartridge.
How often should I replace the water filter in my BRITA mypure A1c?
Every 6 months. Flow slows and performance drops off as the filter fills up, so it's worth doing on time.
Where can I buy the A1000 in Australia?
We track 3 Australian sellers for the A1000; the lowest listed price when we last checked was A$96.20 at Amazon AU. Prices are re-checked daily and dated on this page.
How do I fit the A1000 in a BRITA mypure A1c?
No tools, a few minutes: 5 steps, listed on this page with the replacement video where the maker has one.
What happens if I don't change it?
The carbon stops reducing chlorine taste and odour and the flow from the tap slows as the cartridge clogs; a boiling-water tap with a scale-reducing filter builds scale in its tank faster.
How do I reset the reminder?
Press DISPLAY briefly, then hold START/RESET for 5 seconds until a long beep; the 180-day timer restarts.
