How to change the blade in your Ryobi mower
Steps for the RYOBI swing-back lawn mower blade 2-pack RAC4010 (RAC4010), the blade 9 Ryobi models take.
- 1Stop the mower and let it cool, then disconnect the spark plug wire. Drain the fuel. Wear heavy-duty gloves and wrap the blade edges.
- 2Turn the mower on its side with the carburettor (air filter side) facing up, and wedge a block of wood between the blade disc and the deck.
- 3Undo the disc bolt anticlockwise, take off the disc, then undo the blade lock nuts and remove the old blades, wave washers and bolts.
- 4Fit the four new blades with their raised edges toward the inside of the deck and a wave washer between each blade and the disc. Tighten each nut until secure, then a further 1/6 turn.
- 5Refit the disc with the flat washer and lock washer, and tighten the disc bolt to 35-45 Nm, until the lock washer is flat. Replace all four blades as a set.

- Is there anything to reset after changing the blade on a Ryobi mower?
- No reset needed.
