How to change the trimmer line in your Ryobi R36LTR20

- 1Remove the battery pack. Lay the trimmer on a level surface, motor side down and guard side up.
- 2Turn the bump knob until the line on its centre lines up with the arrows on the outer spool.
- 3Push one pre-cut 2.0 mm line (about 3 m) through the eyelet on one side of the head until it comes out of the other side, with equal lengths each side.
- 4Turn the bump knob with the Speedwinder (or by hand) to wind the line in, until about 12 cm sticks out each side.
- 5Refit the battery, start the trimmer and tap the bump knob on the ground to feed more line as you work.
