How to change the service kit in your STIHL FS 131

- 1Stop the engine and let it cool. Turn the choke knob to the closed position so no dirt gets into the intake.
- 2Loosen the filter cover screws, take off the cover and clean loose dirt from around the filter.
- 3Take out the paper air filter and fit the new one from the kit, then refit the cover.
- 4Take off the spark plug cover, pull off the boot, unscrew the plug and screw in the new one (gap 0.5 mm, STIHL says). Press the boot firmly home.
- 5Swap the fuel filter using the hook in the kit box.
