CX100XRE is the genuine Hayward element for the SwimClear C100S single-cartridge filter. It sits inside the body under the filter head and lock ring. Hayward says to clean or replace it when the gauge rises 7–10 psi (0.5–0.7 bar) above the starting pressure, and not to pressure-wash it.
