How to change the cartridge in your Jacuzzi J-380
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
- 1Switch the spa off at the isolating switch or switchboard; Jacuzzi says always turn the power off before cleaning the filters.
- 2Lift the filter cover off its retaining clips and tilt it forward. Unclip the skimmer bag and empty it.
- 3J-300: turn each cartridge handle anticlockwise and lift it out. J-400, J-500 and J-LX from 2023: the 6000-383AJ is filter 2, the skimmer filter; unscrew it anticlockwise the same way.
- 4Rinse the pleats from the top down with a hose, or fit new cartridges. If you use a chemical feeder, it goes back on the filter nearest the front of the spa.
- 5Hold both cartridges under water to let the air out, then screw them back in clockwise. Do not over-tighten.
- 6Refit the skimmer bag, press the filter cover down onto its clips and turn the power back on.
