- 1Switch off and unplug the machine, and wait until the water inside is cold. Never remove the filter while the machine is running.
- 2Put a towel down and a shallow container under the drain pump door at the bottom front, then open the door.
- 3Press the two levers and pull the drainage duct forward to let the water out. Put the duct back and empty the container; repeat until no more water comes out.
- 4Push the duct back and turn the filter anticlockwise to remove it. Take out fluff and objects and check the pump impeller can turn; if it cannot, call the service centre.
- 5Clean the filter under the tap, put it back with the exposed section facing up and tighten it firmly so it does not leak, then close the door.
