How long it lasts
Replace it when it is cracked or damaged or no longer seals; Electrolux says to examine the drain pump filter regularly and clean it when the machine does not drain, the drum cannot turn, it makes an unusual noise or shows a drain alarm.
After replacing: No reset needed. If the machine showed a drain alarm, clear the blockage, refit the filter and start a new programme.
How to change the pump filter in your Westinghouse WWF1044M7SA
Watch the guide or follow the steps.
No clear video for this part yet. The steps cover it.
- 1Switch off and unplug the machine, and wait until the water inside is cold. Never remove the filter while the machine is running.
- 2Put a towel down and a shallow container under the drain pump door at the bottom front, then open the door.
- 3Press the two levers and pull the drainage duct forward to let the water out. Put the duct back and empty the container; repeat until no more water comes out.
- 4Push the duct back and turn the filter anticlockwise to remove it. Take out fluff and objects and check the pump impeller can turn; if it cannot, call the service centre.
- 5Clean the filter under the tap, put it back with the exposed section facing up and tighten it firmly so it does not leak, then close the door.
