- 1Turn off the cold water at the under-sink isolation valve; Oliveri also suggests turning it off at the mains.
- 2Turn the filtered tap on to let the pressure out of the filter system.
- 3Twist the old cartridge to the left and pull it down out of the head.
- 4Line up the notches on the new cartridge with the head, push it up and twist it to the right.
- 5Turn the water back on, run the filtered tap for 2–3 minutes to clear the air (cloudy water clears), then turn it off and check for leaks.
- 6Write the date on the pink sticker and stick it on the cartridge.

Common questions
- How often should I change an Oliveri filter?
- Every 12 months for the FR7905 satellite / 3-way filter cartridge (1 micron), the most common Oliveri water filter here. Each model page shows the interval for its own water filter.
- What happens if I don't change the water filter?
- The carbon stops reducing chlorine taste and odour and the flow from the tap slows as the cartridge clogs; a boiling-water tap with a scale-reducing filter builds scale in its tank faster.
- How do I reset the filter light on an Oliveri tap or under-sink system?
- No reset button. Write the change date on the sticker supplied with the cartridge; Oliveri also offers email reminders when you register the filter.
