- 1Stop the engine, turn the fuel valve off and disconnect the spark plug cap from the spark plug. Wear thick leather gloves.
- 2Tilt the mower onto its right side so the fuel cap side is up, to prevent fuel leaks and carburettor flooding.
- 3Hold the blades by hand and remove the two blade bolts with a 14 mm (6-point) socket. Remove the upper and lower blades and check the blade holder for damage.
- 4Clean around the blade mounting area and fit the new lower and upper blades with the bolts and special washers. Always install both blades as a set.
- 5Tighten the blade bolts to 49-59 N·m with a torque wrench; if you have none, have a Honda dealer do it.
