How to change the blade in your Honda mower
Steps for the 2 blade kit hi-lift 19" 06720-VA3-K80 (06720-VA3-K80), the blade 9 Honda models take.
No clear video for this blade yet. The steps cover it.
- 1Stop the engine, turn the fuel valve off and disconnect the spark plug cap from the spark plug. Wear thick leather gloves.
- 2Tilt the mower onto its right side so the fuel cap side is up; Honda says this helps prevent fuel leaks and carburettor flooding.
- 3Hold the blades so they cannot turn and remove the blade bolts, then take off the old swing-back blades.
- 4Clean grass and dirt from around the blade disc and check the disc for damage; replace it if a blade has hit something hard.
- 5Fit the new blades as a set with the blade-setting bolts, washers and lock nuts shown in Honda's parts diagram (Honda says to use only Honda genuine bolts and washers), and tighten them firmly. If you do not have a torque wrench, Honda says to have a Honda dealer tighten the blade bolts.
