How to take out the filter in your Westinghouse dishwasher

1Unplug the dishwasher, turn off its tap and let it cool, then pull out the lower basket. Take care: there may be broken glass in the sump.
2Turn the filter combination anticlockwise and lift it out.
3Pull out the metal filter, then pull the coarse filter out of the micro filter.
4Rinse each part under running water.
5Refit the metal filter, slide the coarse filter into the micro filter with the marks lined up, then turn the combination clockwise until the arrow shows it is locked.
6To replace a damaged filter, fit the new one in its place the same way and check it locks in.
