How to take out the pump filter on your AEG front loader

  1. 1Switch off and unplug the machine, and wait until the water inside has cooled. Never remove the filter while the machine is running.
  2. 2Open the pump cover at the bottom front, put a bowl under it and keep a towel nearby. Open the chute downwards.
  3. 3Turn the filter half a turn anticlockwise without taking it out and let the water run into the bowl. Turn it back to empty the bowl, and repeat until no more water comes out.
  4. 4Turn the filter anticlockwise to remove it. Take fluff and objects out of the recess and check the pump impeller can turn; if it cannot, call the service centre.
  5. 5Clean the filter under the tap, turn it clockwise back into its guides until it is tight so it does not leak, and close the pump cover.
